The advice I would give you is to try and keep some factions as friends or preferably in a coalition so you can trade with them, since this is a big source of income. If that is not enough you could always try searching it on the internet or asking in this subreddit. The game is fairly self-explanatory and if you ever need any help you can press F1 which gives a description of the thing you are struggling with. If you get stuck somewhere you can always try again from an older save. After your first game you will probably understand most mechanics and you could try a harder difficulty and/or a harder faction.
I think if you play on easy you should be able to win fairly easily with just about any faction. Many people believe Sun Jian is the easiest to play with so you could definitely try that.
